Uplifting Voices for Pride Month

Diversity is one of our core beliefs. We believe that stories need to be told from all perspectives and feel honored that our career as storytellers involves uplifting these voices. As pride month kicks off we have had this thought in the forefront of our minds.

We recently were able to interview Mashuq Mushtaq Deen when he was in Indianapolis for The New Harmony Project’s new Legacy Program. Here is a short video on his view, as a playwright, on the need to have original voices told from different communities. Deen recently was awarded a Lambda Literary Award in LGBTQ drama for his play Draw the Circle. Congrats to Deen on all of your amazing accomplishments!

Thank you to the LGBTQ community for your perseverance. All of humanity becomes a bit brighter when that rainbow flag flies.

To celebrate Pride month in office, we decided to throw together a playful video of our pups. Hope you enjoy!

If you’re like us and want to support queer stories and our local LGBTQ community, check out check out Q2: A Benefit Gala for Trinity Haven, hosted by The New Harmony Project.  Written by James Lecense (writer of the Academy Award-winning short film, Trevor, and co-founder of The Trevor Project) and Ryan Amador (singer/songwriter), Q2 follows a group of LGBTQ youth as they find their community. All proceeds will directly benefit Trinity Haven, Indiana’s first residence designed for LGBTQ youth at risk for homelessness. Heather will be there!
